Minot, N.D. (AP) _ Minot Police say they're trying to run down leads in the search for a three-year-old girl missing since last Tuesday night.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for Reachelle Smith, who disappeared from her Minot home.

Authorities believe she may be with 22-year-old Leigh Cowen.

They say he claims to be her father, but tests have proven that he's not.

Police say Cowen had been living with the child's aunt, who's her legal guardian.

Officials say the two may be traveling in a stolen 1995 teal van with North Dakota tag number H-A-Y-5-4-8. The van has minor front end damage.

Troopers say the vehicle may be heading to Kansas possibly the Wichita area. Authorities say that's where Cowen's mother lives.

Minot Police Captain Al Hanson said they have no reason to believe he'd go anywhere else.
