Police Capt. Al Hanson said dogs and their handlers on Monday searched the entire length of the Mouse River in Minot, a distance of about 5 miles. Part of the river was pumped dry over the weekend, and divers had searched it last week.
"We have no reason to believe that the river hasn't been more than
adequately searched," Hanson said.
The bloodhounds and their handlers searched several sites in Minot over the weekend, including a park and a gravel pit near town.
Hanson said the bloodhounds may be used in future searches.
